Very high expectations after the success of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa. The album though not of the same height as Jaane Tu but it is worth listening. The start with Cry Cry is quite bad. The song fails to impress. But then the surprise element of the album Maiyya Yashodha. One really wonders is it really an AR Rahman composition. Chinmayi delivers very well. Of course Javed Ali is a regular singer in Rahman's compositions these days, he hardly disappoints. I like the Thames Mix better. 3rd song and 3rd singer. Whoa! Gone are the days when we used to have only one female and male singer singing for the album. Karthik does a decent job. The track will take a few listenings before one starts to hum the song. Then comes the best song of the movie. Sonu might not be singing too much these days but if this is the quality we expect from him, I don't mind waiting for his sings. Do Nishaaniyan is another gem from the master singer. He undoubtedly is the best singer of our industry. What a beautiful soothing track. Same goes for the reprise version as well. Very well penned by Abbas Tyrewala. Amongst so many singers how can the queen Shreya remain behind. The song Pam Pa Ra though reminds me of Aye Bachoo from Ghajini. I feel Shreya's voice is more suited for romantic numbers. Another surprise element in 'I've been waiting'. Vijay Yesudas is a famous name in South Indian music industry and his father needs no introduction. He lives up to the reputation and for me its the second best song of the album. Overall its a decent album. Not a blockbuster album. Rahman did not go behind the mic this time...may be he should have.

Frankly, I was expecting far better from the mastero A.R.Rahman.But this time he is not up to his best.JTYJN was far better than this album. If this wud hve been composed By other MD's I wud not care,But since it is ARR so our expectation naturally becomes sky high.Call me dil,Mayiya Yashoda,Do nishaniya are good rest are average. He Has given a Quality soundtrack "Enthiran" in Tamil,In hindi not to be so.Reason cud be tremendous work pressure,As he is been involved with hollywood also.As I'm a big fan of ARR I'll be expecting some quality album from him in future.
