I found the movie very interesting and intriguing till the end. Aamir Khan has done a terrific job in GHAJINI and so has Asin. I found Jiah Khan a waste in the movie. She kind of killed the suspense a bit. A.R. Rahman's compositions were outstanding. The songs were great, especially Guzarish and Kaise Mujhe. I'm giving the movie 4 out of 5 because of the reason the murderer killed Kalpana.

Looking at the much-hyped promos - I entered into cinema hall with not over the top expectations, specially looking after "south-styled" action scenes. Nevertheless, it did not disappointed me. It is Momento - Thriller + Indian (South) Masala which is much watchable due to sheer charm and power of Aamir Khan. It is intended to be "hatke" movie on the whole but slips into the masala formula very soon. Movie opens with the action films with Aamir with revealing about his "sort term memry los" (as Ghajini says). It has no intentions of keeping people guessing of what may happen next - though basic plot offers much more potential of doing so. (Read Momento). However, script takes very expected route about unfolding the "mystery" through flashback mode. Additionally, it is really very LOUD at times. Let it be the ROD scene where Asin dies OR the much stretched climax. I wonder how soothing experience it could have been - if there was bit heart poured in those scenes. On positive notes - the only thing that stick my mind after leaving cinema hall was the romantic track between Asin and Aamir. The scene where she offers him money to help OR scene where Asin takes the footprint touched me. It's bit strange going by the genre of film but Asin's character was very well written and executed. Aamir has shown good shades of before and after character - though the later lack soul in it. His sheer presence on the screen gave audience much to cheer about. This time he shown that he can do the typical masala films with 8(!) packs if he wants to. It just that he chose to be different!! Jiah Khan has been utilized minimal as it should be. The villain was the most disappointed part. It was old 80s OR 90s style badman who kills people as everyday routine; nor his presentation was of any thoughtful. All in all - it was an enjoyable watch for 3 hours which matters the most. With loads of loop-holes in the story and script which lacks the intelligence of Momento - I give 3.5 stars to Ghajini. It's just the way to show how great intelligent stories can turn into popular bollywood films - when great stars shows their colors.

I had high expectations from this movie (especially after tarans review) but unfortunately i have to say this movie is just a very bad remake of "momento". besides aamir was not the right choice for this kind of role. he doesn't have the personality to play a business tycoon or a mad lover who wants revenge. nothing about this movie is believable.

See My earlier reviews…. about RNBDJ and about Aamir Aamir No doughtedly a great actor but much hyped than he actually is… there is far better actors here in bollywood than amir, he is not atleast the best but he is good, now for Gajini, its a nice sort of film which is winner on the script level already, it dosent need a amir to carry it through. Now for TJP its marked as a Aamir film where as credit goes to poor Amol Gupte… amir encashed him… now amir is trying to serch for shoes left by others and trying to fit his legs into those.. like 3 ediots, he is behaving as if the script was made keeping him on mind, when we all know its made keeping SRK in mind, same goes for Laagan… (still I strongly beleave SRK should work in 3 ediots its a script to look for)… now for RNBDJ.. I still stand its a weak in certain treatment…it can be better..only for SRK it can cross 100 cr.. its possible by SRK alone… Aamir cant do this… he cant make a weak film do this sort of huge business.. then what proved by it.. who is superior????? A person who can do well in good film or 1 who make a not that good one look like a classic… if RNBDJ is treated much better by the director and producer , released in the time of Diwali and got the support of critics and press than Amir is getting( even he encashed through RNBDJ) then it will twice bigger than it already was.. what say TARAN?? U agree or not??? So Taran Paaji…who is better actor?? who is more powerfull???????? what say amir.. we all eccept that ur GAJINI is 4.5 and RNBDJ is 2.5 so can u make a film rated 2.5 get a 100 cr business…u cant even dremet of it… we already saw the fate of Mangal Pandey…. Mr Amir u r perfectionist…Mr Ace khan… who only lives and survives through a winning script…. but I like 1 thing u have dedication MR Amir.. good styling sense too…??? but stop being a lier ok.

Depressing. Too long. Agreed that there are things that keeps you held on to your seats. For example, you want to find out if Aamir will reveal himself to Asin as the real Sanjay Singhania. The second thing that keeps you glued is the fact who is Ghajini and how Ghajini will kill Ghajini. I haven't seen a movie so cruel in the past few years. It shocked me especially it being an Amir Khan film. The acting by Amir was awesome. Good First show from Asin. If you were expecting a romantic thriller, Ghajini's not the film. Overall, the movie lacked expectations that drew them in the first place. It could have more spice to it then being a cruel action movie. To be honest, I wasn't impressed. Some scenes were quite a humbug. How can anyone enter a posh residential building without any security being there. How can Amir khan, being such a big celebrity in the movie not call for Security for her girlfriend after the train-goonda incident happening to his girlfriend. How can anyone enter the women hostel just like that. Some things were out of the context and it was just another Bollywood movie, where you don't need to work your mind out. It is worth watching it one time and its no RDB or TZP that you would want to watch it over and over again.
