Don-The chase begins again..... The chase did begin but failed to reach it's destination,i.e., the original DON. It seems to be a re-mix of Duplicate and Badshah. Shahrukh Khan has done a great job and he is always more appealing in a non-romantic role but such roles never give him a hit movie. Kareena's character is the only one in the film that manages to match the original version. On a positive thought, this movie is actually 'don' as here it is Don who is present throughout the movie, whereas in the earlier 'Don' it was Vijay who pretended to be Don. It certainly is a one time 'must' watch movie and JAAN-E-MANN rocks.

Like many people I was also waiting for the people, and went to see the movie first day. There was a high expectation and I believe that it is a complete paisa wasool film .It is justlike a hollywood thriller and hat's of to king khan for giving one of the most terrifying performance of his life . The role was a challenging as it was previously performed by bigB and the king came above all.the advantages of the film is the superb location of the film, and the last seen

This is a must see film of the year. It's been upto my expectations. Don't compare it to the older Don. SRK once again proved himself that he is the best in bollywood. SRK acted better then AB. This Don looks like a Don while the older Don was having just his name-DON nothing else. The older Don(AB) was as slim as a lady. He doesn't has any style. He can't dance. Can't to thrilling stunts. In short, he doesn't deserve to be known as Don. This DON is the perfact DON. The film is not for AB's fans bcoz though this film is far better than the older, they won't find it good at all(OLD is GOLD!!!). Watch the older Don then watch the newer then you won't dare to tolerate the older. This film is truely thriller cum action movie and SRK deserves to be known as DON of Bollywood.

We dont know IF DON's CHARACTER did have a height or not.....I repeat, we do not know if DON@S CHARACTER had a height or not. It was AMITABH BACHAN who gave a height to Don's character...So its needless to say whether or not a 5'9 guy can play dont or not. People living in the 70's warp, get out of it. SRK's don is new, exciting and most of all TODAY...He has very well played DON, a guy who is full of style, sex-appeal, girls at one hand, the gun on the other. SRK looked lethal and he looked GOOD. The film was a very good attempt and it certainly caught my attention from the first promo. HATS OFF to farhan akhtar for pulling it so well. His direction couldn't have been perfect enough (As always). SRK was mesmerising. Priyanka chipra looked sexy, hot and everything else. She had the body to prove she was a martial arts expert. SRK's vijay was funny, entertaining and very amusing. The twist in the tale was breathtaking, and i just cant wait for the sequel. I am also a big fan of Amitabh Bachan, but SRK has most definitely displaced him from Don's category and given him a far better run... SRK you have proven again, that YOU are the KING...

When young generation Director teams with the current superstar for remaking a movie which was a…
When young generation Director teams with the current superstar for remaking a movie which was a cult one, you expect fireworks. And being the diwali season this sounds like icing on the cake. Don is himself the biggest bonanza for the viewers. Remarkable screenplay changes, sausy look, pacy treatment all make Don a must watch film. Talking about its USP, it is its end. The way Farhan treated or played with the original script isn't a tough deal to crack. But he did with ease mainly because of his vision and determination. Don is powerful package of drama and action. People who are comparing it with earlier one are narrow minded as in all this movie has got its own identity. In todays hi-tech action world tou cant show the hero jumping from tree to tree and beating villains. It sounds and looks stupid that's why Farhan cleverly replaced that with exciting car chase or helicopter jump. In all movie is different from the earlier one and each and every character is carefully crafted. But its the king khan which steals the show. He looks marvelous as a Don, that Don who loves girls, guns and enjoy killing people. But still he never shouts infact he loves killing people by using his mind. This is evidential from the opening scene when he kills Chunkey Pandey. That opening establishes that this don carefree kinds and for surviving he can go to any extent. Same can be said for Priyanka as i think this is her first movie where she got the right attention and role to play. However, the surprise package is Isha Koppikar who essays a role of girl who loves don and still never stand and shout that. As far as Arjun goes this is his best performance so far from his debut movie Moksh. He has anger in him but also a soft side for everyone. Same goes for Boman, Om puri and Kareena. The main highlight or USP of this movie is that none of the character looks like a prop cast, they have a definite role to play and they have did justice to the role. Not revealing the suspence(Highlight of the movie), I can only say that this movie is worth a watch, thus go for it.

When Farhan Akhtar wrote the script, did he not think that the audience would have several questions after movie ends such as: How does Vijay learn Don’s mannerisms and how does know martial arts? Wouldn’t simpleton Vijay be scared to jump out of a plane? There are glaring loopholes in the screenplay and you just can't overlook them. Like, for instance, how does SRK kill Kareena when the fact remains that he himself admits that there aren't any bullets in his gun? In the second hour, the murder of Rajesh Khattar [Don's boss] gives an impression that it's child's play to eliminate a drug baron. Above all, as shown in first half.. Don being hard and naive..and then after seeing something unexpected at the end of Don replacing himself with Vijay.. how can he be little softer at heart for eg. for the child named Dipu? How did he turn into a good guy who has heart for a girl. Frankly, this looks like a desi James Bond saga. Though SRK does very well as Don. He enacts the evil character with flourish. But he fails to carry off the other role [Vijay] with conviction. It looks made up, it doesn't come natural to him at all. In short, sometimes a weak film weaves magic at the box-office. DON is one of those! The Don of the 21st century is stylish with flaws. the new DON is body beautiful, minus soul. The new version is a hundred times more stylish, but how about a riveting script, Mr. Director?

all guys n gals who have not seen this movie please go and see this movie. its a well made movie. dont make ur mind reading reviews. Theres no point in comparing this Don with the old classic. both r entirely different in execution and story telling. This is Shahrukhs one of the few bettr performances. After Swades this is the movie where he has got his act right. No wonder when Farhan is at the helm, you cant expect this to be simple remake of the old hit. GO FOR IT!!!

This is so shit! Shah Rukh and that Farhaan fellow were not sure of themselves that's why they stated doing the "remake"shit. From day 1 the only pr they did for their movie was that it was aremake of the classic GOD film (read : Amitabh Bachchan).Salman Khan and Aamir Khan never stoop this low and are better actors. It's not uncommon in Bollywood to remake movies. They also said that Don had been unofficially remade as Dav Pech only (Jeetenedra). That's untrue! Even Rekha was seen in a remake (a scene tot scene remake that is) in Mrs X. So Shah Rukh who is losing out to Aamir, Salman and Abhishek is trying desperately to have a solo hit which he hasn't had in yeeaars by doing a Amitabh remake. There is no second, third or fourth Amitabh Bachchan, There is only one God. The only one who comes close is Abhishek (genes you know). And if you want a good actor who is original and gives you entertainment don't watch srk, watch Salman, Aamir or Govinda instead!

Let me get right to the point. If you are planning to watch the movie in a multiplex, please stay away from this.... Its not worth the money, its almost Rs200. But its worth the watch is you pay Rs30-Rs50. The movie is certainly not worth more than this money, believe me.... Now the review. Well we all know this ones a remake, however atleast the publicity posters/banners could have been original. Why did they have to copy Matrix???? Anyways, let get to the performances. Frankly, I couldn't relate much with any of the characters. That doesn't mean that the performances were bad. They were strickly OK. As for the music, dissappointing again!!!! The new songs don't leave any mark and as for the old ones, they just sound like a remix. I guess DJ Aqueel would have done a better job.... And last about the director. Well all I'll say is that "Better Luck next time", "And henceforth, Please leave the Oldies alone" Farhan Akhtar's earlier DCH and Lakshya were far better movies.... Watch at your own risk!!!!
