I didn't have any aspirations of watching this film when I first saw the trailers. It looked like a dud attempt at a masala film with a story line that related to 2010 and the 1970s. I decided to watch it finally and ended up being surprised that it was I guess watch-able. Akshay pretty much takes control of the whole film and the role does allow him to succeed. I can't say the same for Aishwarya though. I am a fan of her work and think she was magnificent in Jodha Akbar and Guzaarish in recent times, but she fails to provide the same acting ability in other films - D2, Action Replay, Raavan etc. Is it the directors? Or is the co-stars?? At times she comes across annoying, but at other times sweet.
