ABCD 2 REVIEW- Just finished watching ABCD 2 and came out with happy and satisfied face from theater. Film was looking promising from the first trailer and then dance video songs increased everybody's expectations. Even before trailer film had good buzz due to its surprise successful prequel. Each and every audience loved the prequel so had expectations from its sequel and film will not disappoint you for sure. Lets start from the story,Varun and Sharddha and their dancing group from mumbai is dedicated towards dance but they stole opponent's performance and gets stamp of cheaters on their name. Since then they are eager to get second chance from life. Then they find dancing guru Vishnu sir played by Prabhudeva. They try to convince Vishnu sir and he keep rejecting them. But we know film story cant go ahead without his 'Yes' to them and as expected he agrees to be their choreographer. Then auditions and their breath taking performances with eye catching visuals effects which keeps us to edge of our seats. And then their journey to the finals Obviously predictable but still enjoyable screenplay. Acting department is too good. Varun and Shraddha gave their everything for this movie. Here they proved that they are not only good actors but also are quality dancers. Both steals the show with their acting and dancing as well. Other star cast were not from this acting field so we cant expect them to act well but still they were okay but they will blow you again with their dancing skills here. Story, screenplay were good. But film is too lengthy to watch. Editing could have been better and that was needed there. So many unwanted scenes and songs spoiled the tightness and grip of the film. But here comes a magical direction which impresses us. Remo proved that he has become one the finest director when it comes to entertain all kind of audience. He kept our excitement high in every important scene like dance performances, climax and some patriotic scenes. Too many clap worthy and whistle worthy scenes and some scenes with patriotic theme were just wow. Camera work was brilliant as they shoot movie for 3D only. But don't know it was the problem of theater's projector or film's team bad work that i film screen wasn't clear i just couldn't see the single scene with clarity. I will have to watch the movie again in another theater for its clarity. Anyways final words its Another Paisa Vasool Entertainer from Remo. You just cant miss it. If you like watching dance movie with some clap worthy scenes and wholesome entertainer for all ages then you cant afford to miss this one. Go for it,its must watch for dance lovers and to those who liked its prequel and certainly one time watch for classes audience. Film completes all expectations as whole. 7 * stars by me :)

remo has struck the right chord. When Prabhudeva is on the floor, there is a snap and pop, even though his moves are familiar. A couple of numbers do crackle. There are two dancers in here who are amazing. But the rest of them, and their sequences, turn into the seen-this-so-what's-new blaze. It sounds uncharitable, but there are a few common threads between Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor's first dance film ABCD 2, which hits theatres today, and Shah Rukh khan and Deepika padukone's Happy New Year. Luckily for us, the similarities between the two films end here. The big difference between the two is that if Happy New Year was a torture, ABCD 2 is a film Bollywood can be proud of producing any time. It is a treat of dance performances you will leave you mighty impressed. ABCD 2 tells the story of Suresh and Vernon's journey from Nalasopara in suburban Mumbai, to the World Hip Hop Challenge finals in Las Vegas. Of course, there's Vinnie, too, to add the necessary element of romance to the film. Prabhudheva reprises the role of Vishnu Sir from the first film, and there are stars added to the cast this time around. Suresh (Varun Dhawan), whose Padma Shri dancer of a mother had planted the germ of dancing in him, now ekes out a living as a waiter at a pub. Vinnie (Shraddha Kapoor) is a hairdresser, whose dream is the same as their dance group Mumbai Stunners' - of being big in the dancing scene of the country someday. When at a reality show, the group is disqualified after being accused of copying the Philippines' All Stars, a world famous dance group, the team disintegrates. Suresh wants to prove it to the world that they are not cheaters. The method? By signing up for a tedious process that culminates in Las Vegas, on the World Starz Hip Hop Challenge stage. On the way, Vishnu guides them, as the team grows with dancers from other parts of the country. Varun Dhawan dances like a dream; and pitted against his bare abs and his acting, the actor's dancing vies for space in the mind of the viewer. Shraddha Kapoor has worked mighty hard to get her moves perfect. As far as her acting is concerned, Kapoor's expressions are not as blank as during her Aashiqui 2 days, but at times, she does look like she's aware of the camera filming her. overall, the movie is worth a watch..a full paisa-wasool film

ABCD 2 is not a brilliant film but it does have its moments of brilliance. And choreography hitherto hits a new high! But first the bad news! Plotting is done at a peripheral level and story does not believe in building characters. Screenplay sways between cheeky and cheesy. Some scenes merely look like fillers in between dance shows. Screen-time could have been utilized in the journey of the competition however it tends to meander in half-baked sub plots. Introduction of new characters looks forced beyond a point. Parallels will be drawn out between yes you heard it right…Happy New Year. Some blatant product placements which could have been more suitably pitched. Overall feel to root for the underdogs was somewhere missing too. However when you suddenly feel roadblocks, dance comes to the rescue! Now how does the movie rise above ordinary: Dance is the life blood of the movie. Crocks, Dharmesh, Jack, Vernon, Punit ,Varun and a few others in the troupe are all brilliant and you do remember each one's distinctive acts. Prabhu Deva is seen performing an act that outclasses most of his previous ones. Varun Dhawan, one of the most accomplished dancers of bollywood and also leading the young brigade with 4 back to back hits hardly takes center stage thereby allowing much better dancers to hog the limelight and stage. Especially when Crocks is on-stage with Varun, it's difficult to take your eyes off him. Imagine a world level HIP HOP championship with a pedigree higher than 'So you think you can dance', Indian stunners led by Dhawan and co look like real competitors. Their incredible performances does lend credibility to the levels they reach in the competition. India which is actually not there on the world hip hop levels looks like it reaches, thanks to Remo , Prabhu and co. Looks like they are expressing their unfinished dreams through the narrative Prabhu Deva meeting his near ones- Should not be spilling the beans yet…Brilliant cinematic moment. Songs go well with the theme of the movie, you tend to remember a few and hum too. That makes music a plus for the dance movie. Lauren springs in a heady surprise with her fab entry and wonderful moves. And the finale does take your breath away at times! And a few more reasons which definitely makes it a one-time watch! By the way who needs to see competence in acting and story when you can satiate your movie buds with visually delightful moves doesn't stop the feel, 'wish I had learnt how to dance like em' Varun Dhawan is moving up the ladder every time he comes up with his sparky and spunky performance. Sincere and underplayed true to the script demands, many might feel he wasn't up there this time. Looks like the role demanded a bit of an amateurish street boy profile for the kind of character he played. If some of his antics were deliberate then full marks to the performance and dance. Shraddha Kapoor is a revelation. Watch out her scintillating moves. Performance otherwise is passé as the role doesn't have much to do apart from dancing and a bit romancing! A special mention on Crock and Dharmesh's funny acts at times. The way they counter their German rivals is genuinely funny. And Prabhu Deva gets to act more and dance less. Watch it as it turns out for now India's best reply to ' StepUp' as we have stepped up our quotient.
