RC 16: Janhvi Kapoor confirmed to star in Ram Charan and Buchi Babu Sana’s next; see announcement

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has given a birthday surprise to her fans. On Tuesday, March 6, it was announced that she will be starring alongside Telugu superstar Ram Charan in an upcoming untitled project helmed by director Buchi Babu Sana. Tentatively called RC 16, the news, which came as a delight to fans of both actors, was unveiled on Kapoor's special day.

The announcement of Kapoor's casting was met with enthusiasm on social media platforms, with fans expressing their excitement and anticipation for this fresh pairing on screen. Production house Mythri Movie Makers confirmed the casting on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote, “Welcoming the celestial beauty on board for #RC16. Happy Birthday to the mesmerizing #JanhviKapoor.”

 

 

 

Buchi Babu Sana, the director behind the highly acclaimed Telugu film Uppena, has already showcased his prowess in storytelling and filmmaking with his debut feature. While further details about the film, including its title and storyline, are yet to be revealed, the confirmation of Janhvi Kapoor's participation alongside Ram Charan has undoubtedly piqued the interest.

 

In February 2024, in an interview with iDream Media, Boney had shared, "My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s loving every bit of the day she spends on sets here. Soon, she will start a film with Ram Charan too. These two boys are doing very well."

 

The filmmaker further added, “She has been watching a lot of Telugu films, and she feels blessed to work with them. Hopefully, the films will work, and she will get more work. She will also act with Suriya soon.”

 

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will make her Telugu film debut with Jr. NTR starrer Devara: Part 1 in October 2024. She has also signed a project with Tamil superstar Suriya. The actress also has Mr and Mrs Mahi, Ulajh and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari in her kitty.
