The promotional momentum around the upcoming film of Sivakarthikeyan - Parasakthi continues to build, with the makers announcing an extension of the film’s special exhibition following an overwhelming public response. What began as a promotional showcase has now turned into a major talking point, drawing large crowds and fuelling fresh speculation about the film’s narrative.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Dawn Pictures expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic turnout and confirmed that the exhibition, titled #ParasakthiWorld, will now remain open until December 25, 2025, coinciding with Christmas. “Owing to your overwhelming response, the #Parasakthi World extends till Dec 25,” the production house wrote, while resharing venue details and tagging the film’s cast and crew.

 

Alongside the announcement, the makers also shared visuals capturing the scale of audience engagement at the exhibition. The post included glimpses of packed crowds and a brief sneak peek from the film, which quickly caught the attention of fans online. While the extension itself underlined the growing excitement around the project, it was the footage from the exhibition that sparked a new round of discussion on social media.

 

Eagle-eyed viewers reportedly noticed details in the visuals that have led to speculation that Parasakthi could be a biopic. According to chatter online, the film may chronicle the life of Rajendran, a student of Annamalai University who played a significant role during the Anti-Hindi protests that gained momentum in Tamil Nadu in the 1960s. Rajendran is believed to have lost his life during the movement, and fans are now theorising that the film could be inspired by or centred around his journey. The makers, however, have not officially commented on these claims.

 

 

Directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Aakash Bhaskaran under the Dawn Pictures banner, Parasakthi is positioned as a Tamil-language political historical drama. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, who makes her Tamil debut, in lead roles. The ensemble cast also includes Dev Ramnath, Prithvi Rajan, Guru Somasundaram, Basil Joseph, Papri Ghosh, and Rana Daggubati.

 

Based on true events, Parasakthi revolves around the Anti-Hindi agitations of 1965 in Tamil Nadu, a defining chapter in the state’s socio-political history. The film features music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran, and editing by Sathish Suriya.

 

Scheduled for a January 10, 2026, release, coinciding with Pongal, Parasakthi has steadily generated curiosity through its theme-driven promotions. With the exhibition extension and growing biopic speculation, anticipation around the film continues to intensify ahead of its theatrical debut.
