Peddi trailer launch: Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru says, "Janhvi Kapoor was disciplined; reminded us of Sridevi"; Ram Charan gets nostalgic about Chiranjeevi-Sridevi's iconic pairing: "My jodi with Janhvi will not disappoint"

Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyenndu, director Buchi Babu Sana, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru and cinematographer Ratnavelu attended the trailer launch of their film Peddi at a multiplex in Mumbai. Fans of Ram Charan were also in attendance in full form and they couldn’t stop hooting and cheering for their favourite star. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor also got her share of cheers and the team of the film spoke highly about her.

Cinematographer Ratnavelu predicted, “Janhvi is going to have more fans in South, considering the kind of performance she has given!”

 

Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru said, “I want to thank my director, Buchi garu; he has taken whatever he wants from Ram Charan garu. (Looking at Ram Charan) So many injuries and so much hard work over the last two years; you’ve gone through a lot.”

 

He then looked at Divyenndu and added, “You were the lucky chap in this film! You’ve done a great job.”

 

Venkata Satish Kilaru then stated, “Janhvi ji has worked really hard for this film. She is really, really amazing as an actor and as a person. We remembered your mother (Sridevi) when you were present on the set because you were very, very disciplined. Ram Charan also praised Janhvi Kapoor, “I have not seen such a diligent person in my life. She has worked so hard. On the last day, we shot a song. I didn’t have time because I was shooting 85 days continuously, after which the song shoot came up. I was learning the steps and meanwhile, she did the dance 100 times better than me. She was like a Chhupa Rustam. She was quietly learning in Mumbai. I liked her dedication. She’s very sincere in her work.”

 

He also said, “My dad (Chiranjeevi) and Sridevi ma’am have worked together. It was a wish for a long time for my family and fans who appreciated our parents coming together (to see him and Janhvi in a film). It was a nostalgic thing for all of us. This pair will not disappoint you guys!”

 

Peddi releases in cinemas on June 4.
