John does hardcore, raw action in Race 2

 

John Abraham got the tag of 'Action Abraham' after doing some heavy-duty action scenes in Force. Now in his next biggie Race 2, John has taken action to another level altogether.

John does hardcore, raw action in Race 2

 

The actor known for his chiseled physique will be seen doing hardcore, raw action in Race 2 directed by Abbas-Mustan. He will be seen in a cage fight sequence in the film where he is pitted against a 300 pound South African professional fighter.

 

John trained with stunt director Peter Heins and two Vietnamese fighters for almost 2 months to get his kicks and flexibility right. Among other things, the trio trained John in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and has even managed to do a split in the film something similar to Hollywood action star Jean-Claude Van Damme.

 

Needless to say all the hardcore action took a toll on John's body. The actor hurt his back badly, cracked his shin bone and navicular bone in the ankle area and had to take a two week break from action. But as they say No Pain...No Gain!
