The recently unveiled teaser of Ramayana continues to generate conversations, and now Dipika Chikhlia, best known for portraying Sita in Ramayan, has shared her reaction to the first glimpse. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and backed by producer Namit Malhotra, the teaser titled “Rama” was unveiled on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, on April 2, offering audiences their first look at Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram.

Reacting to the teaser, Dipika Chikhlia said, “I watched the teaser and it's very grand. Bahut rich lag raha hai. Unhone bahut achhe se banaya hai. So now I'm awaiting the film and it's looking very beautiful, there's no doubt about it.”
Earlier today, the announcement teaser was unveiled by everyone including the producer Namit Malhotra who wrote, “Rama is the greatest of all time because he lived a life where the choices he made were always in the benefit of the greater good, duty over desire, and sacrifice over self. His legacy continues to enhance and empower humanity over time and bring the belief in the goodness of the human spirit to resolve all conflict and bring peace to the world.”

The upcoming film is being mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the epic, with Part 1 scheduled for release during Diwali 2026, followed by Part 2 in Diwali 2027. The project is produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations.
Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, the film features Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The ensemble also includes Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Arun Govil, who famously played Ram in the 1980s television adaptation, now returning as King Dashrath. Apart from them, rumours have it that Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, and many other popular names have been associated with the magnum opus.
The film has also drawn attention for its technical scale, with music composed by A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The teaser has already been certified by the CBFC and was showcased at select IMAX screenings internationally.
With early reactions continuing to pour in, Ramayana remains one of the most closely watched projects, with audiences awaiting its theatrical release.
