Gaurav Khanna sparks controversy in Bigg Boss 19 by keeping captaincy amid house chaos

Another dramatic turn unfolded in the Bigg Boss 19 house as contestant Gaurav Khanna was briefly crowned the new captain. However, his tenure lasted only an hour before Shehbaz Badesha assumed the position.

According to an update shared on X by BBTak, “Gaurav Khanna's captaincy remained only for an hour in the house, and now Shehbaz Badesha became the new captain after the assembly voting task via HMs.”

 

In the App Room, Bigg Boss presented Gaurav with a challenging decision. He could either retain his captaincy with limited rations (30%) while putting the entire house up for eviction, or hand over the captaincy to Shehbaz, allowing full rations for the house and no nominations.

 

Gaurav chose to keep his captaincy, despite the consequences for the other contestants. His decision sparked disappointment and frustration among the housemates, who felt let down. Tensions escalated when a private conversation of Gaurav’s was played for everyone, intensifying the unrest in the house. Contestants began questioning Bigg Boss and expressed concerns about perceived favoritism towards Gaurav.

 

To resolve the situation, Bigg Boss called for a house vote to determine the rightful captain. The majority voted in favor of Shehbaz, officially removing Gaurav from the role.

 

Despite losing the captaincy, the consequences of Gaurav’s earlier decision remained. House rations were limited to 30%, and all contestants, including Gaurav, stayed nominated for eviction.
