EXCLUSIVE: Sudhanshu Pandey on life post-Anupamaa: "People still think that I would come back; every post I put on Instagram has AT LEAST 50 comments about Vanraj"; CONFIRMS A Band Of Boys concerts across India

Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Sudhanshu Pandey about The Traitors recently. A conversation with him would be incomplete without mentioning his landmark TV show Anupamaa. His character Vanraj was quite loved and hence, a million hearts broke when he exited from the daily soap in August 2024.

When asked if his fans miss him and tell him about it, Sudhanshu Pandey said, “That happens non-stop. In fact, a lot of people still think that I would come back (laughs). They were quite attached to the character. Isliye, woh non-stop chalta hai. Every post I put on Instagram has to have at least 50 comments about Vanraj!”

 

Is he still in touch with the people from the Anupamaa team? Sudhanshu Pandey replied, “No, I am not in touch with them because there’s no connect. I have been in touch with just 2-3 people from that cast. They are close to me and have always been in touch.”

 

A Band Of Boys x Asha Bhosle

 

Besides The Traitors, Sudhanshu Pandey is also looking forward to a new song with his A Band Of Boys team members, featuring none other than Asha Bhosle. On April 27, he posted a picture of him posing cutely with the legendary singer. In an interview, he revealed that Asha Bhosle also features in the music video and that it was shot in the house.

 

 

We asked him about shooting the video in her place. Sudhanshu Pandey explained, “She’s 92 years old. We didn’t want to trouble her; not that she doesn’t travel. Hence, we told her not to worry and that we would shoot in her residence. She was quite comfortable with the arrangement. I was supervising the whole video. We had decided what saree she should wear. I took care of her make-up and made sure that she looked her best.”

 

Sudhanshu added, “She is also our band member Chin2’s (Chaitanya Bhosle) grandmother. Hence, there was also a connect with her from the beginning. She was also a huge fan of Anupamaa and my character.”

 

When asked when the song would be released, he replied, “Hopefully, by the end of June, it would be out.”

 

 

 

In this era of concerts, Sudhanshu Pandey revealed that a series of concerts of A Band Of Boys is also in the anvil saying, “We are releasing songs only because of this reason – so that we can start touring. We have already started with a concert. My comeback with A Band Of Boys happened at Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai at the 90s Festival. That’s where we performed and people loved it. That is how we decided that we should plan an India tour. Plans have begun and soon, things will start falling in place.”
