Anupam Kher says he chooses not to discuss Satish Kaushik with Anil Kapoor; says, “We know that it will upset the other person”

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher in a recent heartfelt conversation with Humans of Bombay, candidly opened up about the profound impact of his dear friend and fellow actor, Satish Kaushik's untimely death, expressing that he will never truly overcome the loss.

During an interview with Humans of Bombay, Anupam Kher conveyed that the absence of Satish Kaushik remains a constant presence in his life. Kher said, “He was always there. Like I was always there for him. I still was a little starry with him, but he was not like that. He had a great sense of giving. And he was always there to listen to… How can you replace him? How can you think about…”

 

During the same conversation, the actor disclosed that he consistently refrains from discussing their late friend with Anil Kapoor. “Even when we are together, we don’t talk about him because we know that it will upset the other person. So, there is a presence of Satish Kaushik, even if we are not talking. The moment we are together, we automatically feel the absence of the other person. There was an earlier line I used to always say, sometimes you have to make your presence felt by your absence. This case, I think he’s done it in a big way,” the actor added.

 

Legendary actor Satish Kaushik passed away on March 9 following a cardiac arrest, and veteran actor Anupam Kher bid a heartfelt farewell to him. Kher was the first person to share the news of the demise of late actor-director Satish Kaushik.

 

Anupam Kher and late actor Satish Kaushik were National School of Drama (NSD) graduates and they had been friends since then.
