B.O. update: 'Vicky Donor', 'Hate Story' start slow, but reports favorable

 

The two releases of the week -- VICKY DONOR and HATE STORY -- belong to diverse genres, with the target audience being distinctive as well. VICKY DONOR had a better start at multiplexes, while HATE STORY was ahead in single screens. However, the morning and noon shows of both weren't upbeat, with VICKY DONOR opening to a 20% response, while HATE STORY starting out with 35% occupancy at single screens.

Nevertheless, both VICKY DONOR and HATE STORY are carrying favorable reports, though VICKY DONOR has an edge since the audience feedback is simply outstanding. Its business is expected to show a major escalation over the weekend. On the other hand, HATE STORY will have to rely on single screens to leave a mark. The reports are decent and the film is expected to generate good returns from outside metros.
