Thor: Love and Thunder Box Office: Chris Hemsworth starrer collects Rs. 18.60 cr on Day 1; ranks as fifth all-time highest Hollywood opening day grosser
The much anticipated and talked about Marvel blockbuster, Thor: Love And Thunder finally released yesterday. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, and Tessa Thompson amongst others, opened on a good note. In fact, the Taika Waititi directorial saw a good rate of advance bookings, which ensured the film, opens well.
Now as per reports, Thor: Love and Thunder, which comes as the fourth film in the Thor franchise and the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has managed to draw in Rs. 18.60 cr on opening day. With this, the film now ranks as the fifth-highest opening day for any Hollywood film in India. Interestingly, occupying the top four spots are previous Marvel releases viz. Avengers Endgame which collected Rs. 53.10 cr, Spider-Man: No Way Home which collected Rs. 32.67 cr, Avengers: Infinity War which collected Rs. 31.30 cr, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness collected Rs. 28.35 cr.
Going forward, Thor: Love And Thunder which has received positive reviews and audience feedback is expected to see good growth in business. In fact, with little competition coming in from new Bollywood releases, while previous releases have begun to fade, the business of Thor: Love And Thunder is certain to see a big jump in collections over its opening weekend.
