Pushpa 2 surpasses Animal and Jawan to achieve the 2nd highest advance sales at MovieMax

The much-anticipated sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule has already proven its mettle even before hitting the big screens. As of Wednesday at 7:15 PM, Pushpa 2 has sold an impressive 18,700 tickets for Day 1 at MovieMax theaters, surpassing both Animal (18,600 tickets) and Jawan (17,500 tickets) in advance bookings. With five hours still remaining until the final tally, Pushpa 2 is on track to challenge the top position held by Stree 2 in advance sales.

While Stree 2 maintains a strong lead with 21,780 tickets sold, the phenomenal demand for Pushpa 2 indicates the film could come close to the top spot before advance bookings close for the day.

 

Trade experts are already predicting a blockbuster opening for Pushpa 2. According to a senior trade analyst, "These advance booking figures are phenomenal. Surpassing Animal and Jawan at a premium chain like MovieMax indicates the massive craze for Pushpa 2. It also reflects the growing power of regional films dominating the pan-India space."

 

Given the robust advance sales, Pushpa 2 is expected to open with record-breaking collections across all territories. Industry predictions suggest that the Hindi version could cross ₹60 crore nett in India on its opening day alone.
