In this box office report, we take a look at the Opening Day collections of Shivaay while comparing the same to Ajay Devgn’s previously released films. Surprisingly, despite the hype surrounding Shivaay, the film which has collected Rs. 10.24 cr on opening day ranks as the actor’s seventh highest opening day grosser. Though it does not surpass Devgn’s previous releases like Singham Returns that collected Rs. 32.09 cr, Himmatwala that collected Rs. 12.1 cr, Bol Bachchan that collected Rs. 12.10 cr, Satyagraha that collected Rs. 11.21 cr, Son Of Sardaar that collected Rs. 10.72 cr and Action Jackkson that collected Rs. 10.25 cr, it does manage to beat Singham that collected Rs. 8.94 cr and Golmaal 3 that collected Rs. 8 cr.
