Box Office: RECORD - Aamir Khan’s Dangal collects more than all other ranked releases combined on Day 17 at the China box office

 

The Nitesh Tiwari film Dangal that starred Aamir Khan and new comers Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra released in the Chinese market a few weeks ago. After opening to stellar collections the film’s business has witnessed unprecedented growth over the past few weeks. In fact, while Dangal has raked in USD 11.63 million [Rs. 74.97 cr] on Day 17 and claimed the no.1 spot on the chart, the other releases [ranked 2 to 10] which comprise of the Hollywood films Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Life, Fast And Furious 8, have managed to rake in just USD 8.48 million [Rs. 54.70 cr] collectively.

 

But if that wasn’t all, Dangal that has collected a total of USD 112.54 million [Rs. 725.68 cr] also becomes the first non-Hollywood film to top the box office charts in China.
