Box Office: Ek Villain gets 2nd highest opening of 2014

 

Ekta Kapoor's latest release Ek Villain was one of the most highly anticipated films of 2014. This romantic-thriller film starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh and directed by Mohit Suri attracted the audiences with its first promo itself and the superhit music of the film just added on to the anticipation levels.

As expected, the film opened huge at the BO yesterday. In this report, we compare the Opening Day figures of Ek Villain with Opening Day collections of other biggies. Ek Villain collected Rs. 16.72 cr on its Opening Day making it the second highest opener of 2014. The first position in the chart continues to be held by Salman Khan starrer Jai Howhich collected Rs. 17. 55 cr.
