Box Office: Aamir Khan’s Dangal nears USD 2 million at the Hong Kong box office; collects Rs. 12.20 cr

 

The Nitesh Tiwari directed film Dangal that set new benchmarks at the domestic box office later went on to dominate the Chinese market as well. Following a similar path at the Hong Kong box office, Dangal has been ruling the roost. Despite releases much after its worldwide release in other markets the film which starred Aamir Khan playing the role of real life wrestler and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat has been doing brisk business. Well now we hear that the business of Dangal is fast approaching the USD 2 million mark at the Hong Kong box office. In fact the current reported cumulative box office total within the Hong Kong & Macau market is being pegged at a staggering USD 1.90 million [Rs. 12.20 cr].

 

While Dangal has managed this within the first two weeks of its release in these territories, the total overseas earning of the film currently stands at USD 215.82 million [Rs. 1386.04 cr] while the global collections (including India) stands at USD 296.33 million [Rs. 1902.95 cr].
