83 Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s 83 grabs the no. 1 spot; surpasses Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi at the North America box office

The Ranveer Singh starrer 83 released last month in December, directed by Kabir Khan the film opened on a good note. However, the sports biopic based on the 1983 World Cup win did not really connect with the audience outside of metro cities, which affected the overall business of the film. Now, on its 17th day running 83 has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr. mark collecting Rs. 100.56 cr. at the India box office. At the North America box office, the film seems to have fared better collecting 3.92 million USD [Rs. 29.04 cr.]

Interestingly, the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 has managed to surpass the previously released Akshay Kumar – Katrina Kaif starrer Sooryavanshi that had collected 3.57 million USD [Rs. 26.47 cr.] to become the highest grosser of 2021 at the North America box office.
