A Malayalam producer, Anish Varma has sent a legal notice to Chandan Arora and the production banner of his film, UTV claiming that their film Main Meri Patni Aur Woh is a remake of the 1989 Malayalam hit, Vadakkunokkiyanthram. The Malayalam film was directed by Sreenivisan who also starred in it. Varma had purchased the remake rights of the film and was about to start his own production on the script when he got to know that Aroras film was based on the same story.
