The title is FUN2SHH DUDES IN THE 10TH CENTURY. And the story is equally different. The film, produced by Dhilin Mehta and Seema Kar, was launched with a mahurat at Film City on April 21. Written-directed by Imtiaz Punjabi, it revolves around three guys who step into a time machine and go back to the 10th century.
The idea of the time machine is inspired, but the story is very original. I had this idea of a story about Archie, Obelix and Asterix in a village, but I thought it should be Indianised. When we were trying to Indianise it, a lot of things came into place a lot of black humour also came into it, informs Punjabi.
Starring newcomers Anuj Sawhney and Iqbal Khan, the film will be wrapped up by June in a start-to-finish schedule. Sums up Viveck Vaswani, creative consultant for the film, It's basically a fun film. Contrary to what people think, FUN2SHH is not about time machine but a wall, which takes people back in time.
