Shraddha Kapoor cast opposite Aditya in Aashiqui 2

The cast of the film Aashiqui 2, a sequel to the Rahul Roy- Anu Aggarwal musical blockbuster Aashiqui, has now been finalized. The film will be a love triangle starring Shraddha Kapoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shaad Randhawa.

 

The makers had conducted a nationwide talent hunt to cast fresh faces in the film, but unfortunately none of the participants matched their requirement. They then decided to cast Shakti Kapoor's daughter Shraddha, who was last seen in Y-Film Luv Ka The End, yesteryear actress Mumtaz's nephew Shaad Randhawa, who was launched by the Bhatts in Woh Lamhe and Aditya Roy Kapoor, who starred in Action Replayy and Guzaarish.Shraddha Kapoor cast opposite Aditya in Aashiqui 2

 

According to producer Mukesh Bhatt, Aashiqui 2 would do for Shraddha, Aditya and Shaad what the first Aashiqui did for Rahul, Anu and Deepak Tijori.

 

Aashiqui 2 is a contemporary love story. Jeet Ganguly will compose seven original tracks for the film.
