Jaya Prada turns senior deputy chairperson for UP Film Council

 

Actress turned politician Jaya Prada, who is currently the MP of the Samajwadi Party is all set for her new role as the senior deputy chairperson for the Uttar Pradesh Film Council. From what we hear, the decision was taken in favour of Jaya Prada considering the fact that she was one of the most popular actresses in her era and the fact that her experience in the industry will help to promote film production related activities in the state. Jaya Prada, being one of the popular actresses of the 80s and early 90s, has acted with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, Jeetendra among others. She has also contributed immensely to regional cinema and has acted in films over six languages.
