Deepika Padukone to start mental health care foundation Live Laugh Love

It had created furor when Deepika Padukone, one of the leading actresses of Bollywood, went public about suffering from depression whilst shooting for Happy New Year. On one hand, people were shocked by her revelation and on the other, there were many who decided to be more open about their anxiety and depression attacks because a prominent figure decided to accept her flaws and be open about it.

After seeing the response she received post her outburst, Deepika Padukone decided to start a mental health care foundation, 'Live Laugh Love'. Despite the common mindset of looking down on people who suffer from such mental trauma and stress, Deepika decided to break the notion so that the ones in need are given the required medical help before they take drastic steps. Since the day, Deepika revealed about her bouts of depression and the trauma she had undergone, she has been urging everyone around her to take care of their mental health.

 

Moreover, Deepika has decided to establish this foundation on March 21, since the day is significant for her as that was the day she decided to seek professional advice in order to recover from her deteriorating condition.
