After last week’s releases performing way below expectations, the audiences have been waiting with bated breath for this week releases MAIN TERA HERO, JAL and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER. Although the holdover titles RAGINI MMS-2 and QUEEN held fort through the dry week, both films have now taken a backseat, with the David Dhawan entertainer opening to fairly good houses.
MAIN TERA HERO has opened to 50% to 60% response, although the response was slightly lower at places. The Hollywood biggie, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, too has opened on a relatively good note, but JAL, which has had a limited release, has had a lukewarm start and is dependent on strong word of mouth.
MAIN TERA HERO and CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER are expected to dominate the domestic BO. However, the crucial cricket match this evening could play spoilsport and make a dent in their business.
