Forget that she was fourteen when she started modelling in Brazil. Forget that she was studying Law and never wanted to move out of her homeland. To be honest, you'll forget everything when you stare at the sexy girl standing at almost 6 feet tall. I mean, sexy things come not less than five and a half feet, I figured that out when I met the striking seductress and Kingfisher Calendar girl Nathalia Kaur at music director Dharam-Sandeep's studio (the men who gave her the tag - The 'Dan Dan Girl'). Nathy as her friends call her isn't shy. When she talks, words burst out. Not that she screams but she's got an infectious energy you've never heard of. Though her face hasn't sold billions of skirts and tops, her song 'Dan Dan' from Department is making men dizzy. She has cheekbones that can slice an onion and honed legs that go on and on...and on. So I won't be surprised if she does make an entry into your dreams after you've seen her exclusive images and her special story that's called - from Brazil to Bollywood. I guess it's time to shut my eyes because I really don't want to see Nathalia on magazine covers. I'd rather dream. Presenting you the lady who loves to live life in the fast lane, Nathalia Kaur, all the way from the beaches of Brazil. Welcome to Bollywood Nathy!
"I used to study Law and do modelling at the same time" I didn't come to Mumbai because of the Kingfisher calendar. I used to be a model in Brazil from the age of fourteen. I was studying Law. I never wanted to go out modelling in other countries because I never wanted my studies to get hampered. Then I got a very good offer to go to New York too and one such offer came by and that was to go to India. I never thought I'd visit India. I was one of the many models to come to India from Brazil. It was a natural instinct and I said - Yes, I will go to India. I don't know what pushed me.
"You'll either love a country the first time you step there or hate it. I loved India the moment I stepped here" India was already known to most of the Brazilians because we had a TV serial that went on air for a year. I remember the words like - 'chalo chalo, 'nahi', etc. There were cows and dogs on the streets. The image I had of India before I came here was that of temples and incense sticks and when I came to the impressive Mumbai airport and the moment I came out the words came out like - 'maidam rickshaw' 'maidam taxi' and people are shouting on top of their voice. Honestly, you'll either love a country the first time you step there or hate it. I loved India the moment I stepped here, and today my mother misses me a lot in Brazil. I wish to see her soon.
"I am a trained opera singer and would love to be a part of some musical one day" As a kid, I think I was eight years old; I used to sing in an operatic voice in my car. I remember that quite clearly. My stepfather wanted me to join singing classes or join opera singers. I don't come from an artistic family. My mother couldn't digest this fact. But by the time I was sixteen I used to sing and listen to lots of music. I used to be a good bathroom singer. I am not a professional opera singer but surely a trained one. I used to be in lots of rock bands as a lead guitarist. It was unusual because I sang the opera with hard rock in the background. My dream is to be in a musical like Moulin Rouge, Burlesque or Chicago. My favourite singer and performer is Sarah Brightman.

"Marilyn Monroe is my idol. I want to be like her" I don't know which actor influenced me in my earlier days. But in the recent past if there is an actor who impressed me highly it has to be Jeremy Irons. I love his acting. I was in awe of his film Damage with Juliette Binoche. From females I love Marilyn Monroe. She was a performer. She could dance, act, sing and entertain people. She is my idol and I want to be like her.
"Bollywood is like a wonderland. The films make you dream and be happy" Bollywood to me is like a wonderland. It's a dreamscape. I love it here. The kind of films they make are the kinds of films you've always wanted to be in as a kid. It's a fantasy world that entertains and makes you dream and be happy. Bollywood does all that and that's why I like it here.

"I didn't know I had any Indian connection. My mother didn't mention anything to me" I feel completely complete in Mumbai right now. I couldn't have been happier. In Brazil I was in a college that I didn't like but was doing Law because I had to. But now this is my profession. I have made new friends. Something was missing in my life and India is where I found that 'something'. First time I came here, I didn't know I had any Indian connection. My mother didn't mention anything to me. We don't talk to our father but she did tell me that my father's family was from India. I thought she was joking but now I feel this is good karma.
"Joining movies is a faraway dream" I never decided or dreamt that I should pursue acting in Hollywood or Bollywood. As a person, I am very emotional. I thought I'd do something artistic in life. We live in a world where you have to work for yourself and joining movies is a faraway dream. I never wanted to be famous and noticed. Today my life has flipped. I am trying to balance fame and life.
