Actor Rajkummar Rao and producer Ankur Garg visited former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly at his residence in Kolkata during Mahashtami celebrations amid Durga Puja. The visit also saw the trio explore some of the city’s popular pandals, including Maddox Square and Allen Park.
Ganguly hosted Rao and Garg at his family’s Durga Puja celebrations, where they exchanged festive greetings and sought blessings. They later visited the pandals to experience the festivities and offer prayers.
The visit comes as Rao prepares to portray Ganguly in the upcoming biographical film Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story. The interaction in Kolkata brings the actor and the former cricketer together ahead of the film’s release.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the film is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series and DBL.
Dada: The Sourav Ganguly Story is scheduled to release worldwide in cinemas on May 14, 2027.
