It wouldn’t be wrong to say that ever since his debut, Varun Dhawan has been successful in delivering hits almost with his every film. With his latest Judwaa 2 breaking records and changing the dull phase of Bollywood in 2017, the actor is all set to get a new honour – a wax statue.
Varun Dhawan is the first Gen Y star to get a wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds [Hong Kong]. In fact, according to official website of Madame Tussauds, a group of skilled artists have visited Varun Dhawan to conduct a detailed process of measurements as well as matching hair and eye colours. We hear that the excited actor too is personally involved in the process and has been suggesting various poses for his statue.
According to the official website, an excited Varun Dhawan commented about this new honour saying, “It was a great experience to work with Madame Tussauds. I am so excited to get my wax figure in Hong Kong!” On the other hand, as per the statement posted on the Madame Tussauds website, Jenny You, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said, “Varun Dhawan is one of the most requested figures and we are delighted to be partnering with this Bollywood great actor. Hong Kong is a multicultural metropolis which makes us a unique brand. Visitors can meet both Hollywood, Asian and also Bollywood stars here at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Varun Dhawan, last seen in Judwaa 2, is now gearing up to collaborate with Shoojit Sircar for the unconventional film October. He will also be a part of mentor Karan Johar’s next production Shiddat alongside his favourite co-star Alia Bhatt.
