Brahmastra: Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor kick off the new SCHEDULE : Bollywood News

Ever since its inception Brahmastra has been in news. Considering that the film will feature Ranbir Kapoor in the role of a superhero, the film continues to retain its curiousity element. After a major schedule in Bulgaria, the schedule of Brahmastra has now shifted to Mumbai. Joining Ranbir and the leading lady of the film Alia Bhatt is none other than Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Not too long ago, we had come across an intense prep session of the Brahmastra team. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and the film’s director Ayan Mukerji seem to be engrossed in what looked like a script-reading session. And now, it seems that the second schedule of Brahmastra is already on floor in Mumbai.

If the recently released pictures are anything to go by, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan were seen involved in the shooting of the film. While the locations and other details are closely guarded, it looks like the two of them were shooting in a studio. What was also intriguing were their casual attires. While Ranbir Kapoor looked as charming as ever in his trendy look with a cap, it was Amitabh Bachchan who was seen sporting sweater and a woolen beanie cap. We wonder why the actor was donning winter outfits amidst soaring temperatures.

Amitabh Bachchan shared a couple of pictures with Alia, Ranbir and Ayan Mukerji and revealed that they are set to start the new schedule from June 6. He captioned the images, "It begins tomorrow 'Brahmastra' and the prep started today .. Ranbir, Alia and moi under the baton of Ayaan."

While the earlier schedule in Bulgaria was wrapped up much earlier, we hear that Ranbir Kapoor underwent an extensive prep once they returned to India. The actor had to undergo training in different martial art forms like Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai.

Speaking on Brahmastra, the film is said to be a superhero trilogy and it also features Mouni Roy in a prominent role. The film is expected to be mounted on a lavish scale. The film, which is the first part of the trilogy, will be releasing in 3D on August 15.
