Shahid Kapoor endorses VIP luggage

News has it that Shahid has turned down a lot of brand endorsement offers lately. Reasons attributed to that include him being selective and very particular about the brands that he endorses. According to a source close to Shahid, the actor wants to endorse only those brands that he strongly believes in. And VIP luggage is one such brand, for which Shahid has been roped in as the brand ambassador.
The ad is already out on television and is truly creating waves. Says an expert, "The ad has properly encashed on Shahid's romantic icon status. It is already being appreciated and is bound to become more popular." Talking about the 'Shahid -VIP' development, Atul Kasbekar (whose 'Bling' handles Shahid's endorsement deals) said, "We just loved the script and the involvement of creative stalwarts like R. Balki and Aamir Jalil just proved to be the icing on the cake. Shahid spent time over and above what was needed, to help create a set of commercials that are truly memorable to say the least."
Aamir Jalil, whose team directed the ad, said, "It was really fabulous working with Shahid. Not only is he a thorough professional as an actor but also a wonderful human being. Where most stars are concerned about themselves and their visibility, Shahid was concerned for the product. He is a definitely a youth icon. He is the brand for VIP."
"Corporate houses queue outside his home hoping to crack a deal with him to endorse their brands. But the actor understands that his fans have a certain image of him and in turn, he has a certain responsibility towards them. He just does not want to disappoint them by signing each and every brand. Since he prefers that there is no brand clutter, even the selective brands that he endorses should benefit the brand."
If only all the brand ambassadors were like Shahid...
