Mallika wins court case against her tenant

Her last release Ugly Aur Pagli may not have taken the B.O. by storm but that doesn't mean that Mallika Sherawat won't continue to be in the news. The
latest is that the Bollywood bombshell has won a civil court to get her rented property in North Delhi vacated from a tenant who had not paid his rent
dues.
The property located at Dr. Mukherjee Nagar area of Delhi was given on rent by Mallika to Anuj Kumar Aggarwal (proprietor of M/S Career Plus) through a lease
in January, 1998 with the condition that there would be an annual increase of 20 per cent in rent.
In a suit filed by Mallika's brother Vikram Lamba sometime in 2007, it was alleged that the enhanced rent was not paid by Aggarwal and hence a decree of
possession was sought besides recovering the arrears rent. However, the court dismissed her plea stating that there was not enough evidence to substantiate
the same.
Now having won the case, Mallika will surely heave a sigh of relief.
