Shemaroo raids Thane for pirated VCDs and DVDs

After having met with DCP Sanjay Sintre, the anti-piracy team of Soyeb and Vinayak Jadhav from Shemaroo Entertainment, along with 8 police officers, raided 8 stalls and arrested 7 people and seized 14,000 VCDs and DVDs worth Rs. 50.5 lakhs (as per market value) at Navpada, Thane,. The raided stuff included new releases like Race, One Two Three, Jodhaa Akbar, Taare Zameen Par and Bal Ganesh amongst many others that were being sold in large quantities.
The names of the arrested are Tejbhadur Maniram Chauhan, Sunil Vishnu Surang, Brajesh Kumar Sahani, Akash Ramdas Jadhav, Dinesh Harijan, Anil Rajdev Sharma and Vijay Ramashankar Shani.
We just hope that this should put an end to the recurring problem of piracy (at least in Thane) that literally kills 'originality'.
