Rashmika Mandanna has responded to the audience reaction to her latest film Ranabaali, expressing gratitude for the appreciation coming her way for her portrayal of Jayamma. In a social media post, the actor reflected on her character, the film's themes and the response from audiences in theatres.
Calling Jayamma a woman whose “love is so pure”, Rashmika wrote, "She spoke to me about what being a woman is truly about. Standing up for her people, protecting her people loving her people with all she has." Rashmika said she was overwhelmed by the response to both the film and her character. “There is so much love pouring in for Ranabaali and Jayamma, and I feel so overwhelmed and happy,” she added.

In her note, Rashmika also spoke about what she believes the film explores, including community, faith and standing together during difficult situations. “The film speaks about the strength we have as a community, our belief in God, our strength to celebrate the little things even in the darkest of times, and how we all stand as one when someone from outside tries to intervene,” she wrote. She added, “We all fighting together for the same cause! ❤️”
Rashmika also encouraged audiences to experience the film in theatres, saying that her recommendation was not only because she was part of the project. “Watching Ranabaali is an experience that shouldn’t be missed in the theatres.. I don’t say this cz it’s my film.. but I say this because when there is a good film that’s made.. it’s important that it should be experienced fully! ❤️” she wrote.
Rashmika praises Rahul Sankrityan and Vijay Deverakonda
The actor also used the post to acknowledge director Rahul Sankrityan and co-star Vijay Deverakonda. Praising Sankrityan's approach to storytelling, Rashmika wrote, “@rahulsankrityan is one of the most BEAUTIFUL storytellers we have in our country today and I really hope his storytelling is always and always protected.”
She also expressed her happiness at the appreciation being received by Vijay Deverakonda, writing, “@thedeverakonda I told you and I keep telling you that I am a fan and I will forever be a fan of your work.”
Rashmika went on to thank the entire team involved in the film and the audiences who have watched it. “The whole team has come together so beautifully to complete this film together!! ❤️ Thankyou to each and every one of you who’s made this film what it is today! ❤️” she wrote.

Concluding her note, Rashmika said the audience response to Jayamma had meant a lot to her. “Seeing you all love the film and love Jayamma means more to me than I can explain in words!!🥹❤️”
She signed off as “Your Jayamma” and added, “I hope Ranabaali stays with you long after you leave the theatres! ❤️”
