Ammo 'Too Sweet': Our passion and love for dancing and performing keeps us young. The guys we admire to and look up to, some of them are in their late forties and it's so inspiring to see them living like any twenty year olds. As long as you are passionate and excited, there's no reason why you just can't carry on. Look at Dev Anand. He lived young always. Dev Anand was from the era that we love.
Jimi 'The Quiff': This show and the role we are playing is larger than life really. We play the guys from the 50s and slightly over the top. Can't give away too much but you will see it once the show is up on the television. But honestly, it was fun and cartoon caricature in nature.
Sinbad: Ranjit Barot the music producer and composer is more like Quincy Jones actually. He's unbelievable. He's travelled around the world and his musical sensibilities are up there with anybody in the world. We need to start thinking about something like this. A normal musical takes place with 5 to 6 months of rehearsals put in. Here are ready with the show in a month's time. That's an achievement.
Besides, since we are used to doing live shows, we aren't afraid of what's going to happen to us on stage. It's like, I like fear sometimes. So even if we are directed by someone like Rohan Sippy and if I slip on the floor then I'll like it. We have a certain amount of stage presence that we are trying to put in to this show like we've always done but it's important to like your fear sometimes too. - Ammo ‘Too Sweet’: We don’t look at it in a way that we have the best collection of all the ‘retro’ stuff. Ammo 'Too Sweet': We don't look at it in a way that we have the best collection of all the 'retro' stuff. Anything and everything that inspires us, we pick that up, whether it's the clothing, the dance, etc. Yes, we are the 'retro' pack and we took a call only because we thought that it made sense to be in the musical because of the era it created. Sinbad, our Frank Sinatra, took the 'yes' call finally and we are here performing this evening.
Jimi 'The Quiff': Yes, we'll be still doing our favourite popping and locking. It's a part of it but we are doing a mix of everything. We are giving our flavour in this show.
Sinbad: Since we first came to India in 2006, we did speak about the whole popping and locking scene but we were more to it as a team than just that. We were into jazz, etc. By that time, we didn't want to hit India with them. In this one, you can see more jazz. When Rohan Sippy called us, he knew exactly what he wanted and had seen us perform.
Like I've always said, it's always about taking us three to a different place. It's not about what we don't want to do or want to do. It's about that change. A suite each to all of us in the Four Seasons is deserving indeed. We've worked hard all our life and I feel I deserve that. I'm sitting on this sofa right now and I deserve that comfort. It's always about sensibility. We are living our lifestyle. We live one day at a time and as long as we are excited and things are happening, we are happy. - Read More">Sinbad: Love & All That Jazz is unique in its own way. The great thing is that it's a big banner and they've put money behind it and they look after you as artists. That's a respect in totality we get. It's good to be a 44-year old and still be in the game you know.
Ammo 'Too Sweet': Hindi is my favourite language. I go to France and they speak French, I go to Spain and they speak Spanish and I come to India and they speak English. Come on guys! Where's Hindi (laughs). I want to work on my Hindi. I wake up in the morning and sing the old Hindi songs.

Jimi 'The Quiff': We are making our singing debut in Love & All That Jazz but it's really not about singing. We are speaking words as we are performing. There are other guys who are singing throughout, like Shahana Goswami. She is amazing in the show. Even Ali Fazal is the kid to watch out for. He can work in the UK's West End. He's got all that it needs to take man!
Ammo 'Too Sweet': We aren't willing to try our luck at the Broadway or West End in London because any musical requires six months of extensive training. We do lots of gigs and live events and we won't be able to give time to it. - It’s like meeting God, trust me. It's like meeting God, trust me. Do you recall of being tired, knackered and given up when someone drags you along to visit any temple late in the night? But the moment you keep your right foot inside the temple, the exhaustion disappears. It's the vibe any temple will give you. I too noticed similar vibes when I entered my favourite coffee house - Costa, to meet The Twilight Players. That makes all the three brothers 'Godly'. But believe you me, after a tiring seven hour rehearsal for their first of its kind Indian musical 'Love & All That Jazz' directed by Rohan Sippy, the trio were talking like some teen spirited boys who had sprung from high school straight onto the stage. But boy I tell you, Sinbad Phgura, Ammo 'Too Sweet' and Jimi 'The Quiff', when they take centre stage, the crowd goes in frenzy. With their slick, sharp and dynamic style of dancing, girls swoon and boys envy all the time. And in the day and age when every individual wants to go contemporary, these three have, and will always go 'retro'. With their unique look inspired by everything from the glitz of 50s Havana to the classic 60s Indian cinema to the Americana Soul movement of the 70s, Sinbad, Ammo and Jimi are a slice of British forever cool, forever young and forever retro in the 21st century. It has never been a better time to look retro and you don't have to visit a second hand shop to do it. All you need to see is The Twilight Players shake it like never before. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent presents you the men called The Twilight Players who've got 'vintage' back with more élan. No wonder they are priceless, aren't they?
Sinbad Phgura: Love & All That Jazz is our first ever attempt at any musical in India. It's a Chivas Project where they've had these fashion shows and gigs over the last three to four years. It's amazing but more importantly it's an ensemble of all these gifted musicians, dancers, actors coming together and creating this live musical that's India's first ever, thanks to Chivas and our director Rohan Sippy. We just finished the Delhi gig and it was amazing. It's a classic retro 60s Mumbai that is being recreated with a lot of Jazz.
You've got designers who've designed all the retro outfits for the actors in the musical and you've got Terence Lewis who has choreographed. But even though we're a part of this musical, we've got nothing to do with the costumes and the choreography because we've done all by ourselves. I mean, when our name is taken, hopefully, it gives you a vision of something. We are wearing our own 'retro' look for the show and have specially choreographed our moves for this one. So yes, The Twilight Players have got their own style they bring with them everywhere they go.
