I am not saying that intelligent films don't work but they wouldn't work as much as a Ready would work. Black and Rang De Basanti would work but a Ready would be a sure success. It's a catch 22 situation. Dev D is a different genre film that reaches out to the many co*** out audience on that level but beyond that it didn't. A film like Satya back then worked but Satya may not work like how Don would.

Bollywood has changed for better thanks to its professionalism. It has changed for the worse because of its shelf life, be it films or actors. You see new girls who came in two to three years ago have disappeared. They've come into our bracket now. Lolo and I are still signing films. Even with the films, it's a three day run at the box office. Gone are the days of Silver Jubilees in Hindi cinema. It's become a full time business now. Creativity is lacking too somewhere.

Even heroes in our times used to have mid life crisis (laughs). It is weird how the media has become now. Back in our times when the hero used to have affairs with heroines and the wife is on the set, it was really funny how conversations used to take place. Most of our heroes still are facing it today. They just don't want to accept their relationships. I read about it in the papers a few days ago that some hero was not talking to his heroine because his wife was on the sets. I have always been the one who has said that 'yes, if I am having a thing with an actor then I am dating him and what's the big deal'? But I don't understand why has the media become so narrow minded now and go ballistic about any actor dating any actress?

I am doing a guest appearance in Bbuddah... Hoga Tera Baap and after seeing a bit of the film and my portions in it, Vishal-Shekhar and Puri Jagannadh thought that there should've been more of me in the film. They wanted me to do a song for the glamour element in the film and that's when Puri called me 'mast mast' and I was in and as 'Chandigarh Di Star'.
