Now this is one movie which may just do Prateik a whole lot of good things. He has come across as a confused little boy way too often in Aarakshan, Dum Maaro Dum and My Friend Pinto. Well, seems like Ekk Deewana Tha just requires him to continue in that mode, and to good effect as well since it suits its narrative. Amy Jackson is passing off well as an Indian too. A.R. Rahman's music sounds like a winner in the making.
Excitement quotient - Should make for a good date flick
'Kidnapping ki hai, nibhaani toh padegi - If Genelia's leg pulling of Riteish is any indication, there is a lot in store for the young man when he gets married to this spunky girl, in real life. Cute, naughty, energetic and fast paced - promo of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya has managed to strike the right chord.
Christmas weekend was quite eventful for Bollywood not just because it saw the release of Don 2 but also due to a handful of promos that flooded the world of web as well as theatres. While some of them pretty much arrived with a roar, a couple just made us wonder if the wait was worth it. Here is our quick analysis on the first impression made and whether they have resulted in the kind of excitement quotient that was originally envisaged.
Agneepath
Smash. Now this is what Agneepath always had to be about. We had seen enough of Hrithik Roshan getting bashed in the hands of Sanjay Dutt in the first theatrical promo. Seems like conscious attempt has been made to make the hero as well as the villain (Sanjay Dutt) equally powerful. With challenge of a new 'Lanka' all set to be created, this is one tale we are dying to catch. Like, really soon!
Excitement quotient - Just bring this one on. Any more wait could be injurious to health.
Really? So was this the wait all about, especially when a film has Vidhu Vinod Chopra at the helm of affairs? Quite some time in this one minute teaser is spent in establishing the fact that Sharman Joshi is the 'idiot' in play here. Fair enough, but then why it is all about one song based on a Ferrari Ki Sawaari? Okay, so it ends on an ironic note atop a scooter but really, those 60 seconds could have been better utilised.
Excitement quotient - We just hope that there is something bigger up the sleeve of the makersWatch 'Ferrari Ki Sawari' teaser:
When Akshaye Khanna does a film, you do expect it to be different from the rest. Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai has a definite Priyadarshan influence to it and while the promo starts off well, it somehow tapers to a level where one starts wondering if this could turn out to be yet another Khatta Meetha. Agreed that it is topical (corruption is the theme here) but the promo doesn't maintain much momentum right till the end.
Excitement quotient - Errr, newer promos could do the trick
