Sania Mirza has returned with the second season of Serving It Up with Sania, produced by IVM Podcasts. The first episode, featuring actors Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal Khan, is now live. Following the response to its debut season, the show continues to bring together sports, entertainment and personal conversations, with new episodes scheduled to release every Friday.
The season opener features Sania taking on Sonakshi and Zaheer in a game of pickleball before joining the couple for a candid conversation about their seven-year relationship, their first five-and-a-half-hour conversation and their experience of working together after marriage. Through playful exchanges and personal anecdotes, the episode offers viewers a glimpse into the couple’s life beyond their public appearances.
With both Sonakshi and Zaheer sharing an interest in pickleball, the duo joined Sania on the court for a session that combined friendly competition with conversations about their personal lives. Appreciating their performance, Sania said, “You guys were the best pickleball players we've had now for all the seasons that we've had.”
Speaking about working with Zaheer after marriage, Sonakshi said, “For me, romancing on screen is the toughest thing ever. So when it’s with your own husband, then it’s fine. It just eases you out when you have your person around you. But of course, when we are at work, it’s time to work.”
Sonakshi also spoke about her approach to travelling, explaining how years of work-related travel influenced her decision to take a break from it. She said, “I love doing that because all my life I’ve had to travel for work, like 25–30 weeks. So I was like, I don’t want to do anything.”
Reflecting on the return of the podcast, Sania spoke about how her experience with the first season helped her discover an interest in long-form conversations. She said, “When I first tried my hand at podcasting, I wasn't sure how much I would enjoy it. But over time, I realised how much I love having these conversations and getting to know people beyond what we see of them publicly. The success and response to Season 1 gave me even more reason to come back with Season 2. I've spent years smashing it on the tennis court, and now I'm enjoying this new innings as a podcaster. Having IVM Podcasts, one of the pioneers in the Indian podcasting space, partner with me on this journey makes it even more exciting. We have a fantastic lineup this season, and I'm looking forward to audiences discovering these conversations.”
The second season continues Sania’s exploration of conversations that go beyond the public image of her guests, with pickleball serving as an additional element of the format. The first episode of Serving It Up with Sania Season 2, featuring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal Khan, is now streaming on the show’s YouTube channel. New episodes will be released every Friday.
