Raashii Khanna has completed 13 years in the Indian film industry. Her debut film, Madras Cafe, released on this day in 2013. The action thriller marked her entry into films and began a career that has since taken her across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam cinema.
“Thirteen years is a long time, and it has gone quickly because the work has never stopped feeling like a privilege,” said Raashii Khanna. “Looking back at Madras Cafe reminds me why I started. It gave me the chance to tell stories that matter to me, and I am grateful to every collaborator who has backed me along the way.”
Over the years, Khanna has worked across four film industries, taking on projects in different languages and genres. Her filmography has helped establish her as a pan-India actor, with roles spanning a variety of stories and characters.
Khanna is currently filming the second season of Raj & DK's Farzi, where she reprises her role as RBI officer Megha Vyas alongside Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi. Produced and directed by Raj & DK, the crime thriller follows a disillusioned artist who turns to counterfeiting while trying to overcome his financial struggles.
She also has two more projects in the pipeline. Khanna will star opposite Rajinikanth in the Tamil action thriller Dharman. She will also be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Anees Bazmee's upcoming comedy-drama.
As she marks 13 years in cinema, Khanna continues to expand her work across languages and genres, with several projects lined up across the Hindi and South Indian film industries.
