Filmmaker Karan Johar opened up about his wish to find love and companionship during an episode of Koffee With Karan 9. In a conversation with Vijay Deverakonda, Karan spoke about wanting a partner with whom he could share everyday moments, celebrate life's milestones and build a fulfilling relationship.
The conversation began when Vijay asked Karan to take a moment to manifest something he wished for in his life. When Karan encouraged him to go first, Vijay shared his thoughts about Rashmika Mandanna, saying, “I'm going to hold Rashmika's hand, and you know with me she's safe.”
Vijay then asked Karan what he would like to manifest while sitting on the Koffee With Karan couch. Responding to the question, Karan said, “I would like to have a partner. I would like to be in a relationship. Marriage, I think, technically may not be a possibility. So somebody who can share the nothings of my day with, something who I can celebrate the somethings of my life with, someone who can be an equal parent to my twins who are now ten, and somebody who I can call mine and yet feel loved and respected and also complete my life with me.”
Through his response, Karan expressed his desire for a relationship built on companionship, mutual respect and shared responsibilities. He also spoke about wanting a partner who could be an equal parent to his ten-year-old twins, highlighting the importance of family in his vision for the future.
Vijay joined Karan in manifesting his wish, saying, “Let's pray to the old gods and the new and the coffee gods and the couch gods to make this happen.”
Karan responded to Vijay's words, saying, “Yeah. I think your prayer felt real.”
The conversation offered a glimpse into Karan's personal hopes, as he spoke about wanting a partner with whom he could share both the ordinary moments of life and its more significant milestones.
