Boney Kapoor's hair transplant has once again become a talking point, this time thanks to a revelation by his daughter Janhvi Kapoor on Koffee With Karan. During the latest episode, Janhvi claimed that the filmmaker did not pay for the procedure. Instead, according to her, he was paid to undergo the hair transplant.
The conversation began during the rapid-fire round when host Karan Johar asked Janhvi to share an entertaining rumour about her father that she would like to spread. Janhvi jokingly replied, “That he didn’t get a hair transplant done. And he grew his hair by concentrating.”
Her brother Arjun Kapoor, who was also part of the conversation, laughed and added, “But if you roam around, you wouldn’t believe it.” Janhvi then asked Arjun, “Have you seen dad’s banners?” “That’s called marketing,” Arjun responded.
Janhvi says Boney Kapoor was paid for the procedure
Karan then brought up Boney's makeover, saying, “I forgot to talk about Boney Ji’s makeover.” That prompted Janhvi to reveal the unusual detail about her father's hair transplant. “Can I tell you that he has been paid to get a hair transplant?” she said.
Karan appeared surprised and asked, “What, he got paid?”
Both Janhvi and Arjun confirmed that Boney had indeed been paid. Janhvi then clarified, “He has not paid to get a hair transplant. He has gotten paid.”
Varun Dhawan, who was also part of the conversation, complimented the filmmaker, saying, “But his hair looks amazing.”
Karan then connected the alleged payment to the promotional material featuring Boney, asking, “So he is paid, that’s why he is smashed all over the city?” Janhvi and Arjun once again confirmed the claim.
Janhvi jokes about more Boney Kapoor banners
Janhvi went on to reveal that the promotional campaign involving her father was not over yet. “There are more coming. I have got an approval of five more banners of him looking in the mirror without hair, sad, and with hair, happy,” she said.
Boney Kapoor first drew attention for his hair transformation in 2024 when he travelled to Hyderabad for the inauguration of a hair transplant clinic.
