Among the shows that are the most beloved on ZEE TV is the Aishwarya Khare, Rohit Suchanti starrer Bhagya Lakshmi, which has received a lot of love and appreciation from audiences for the intense chemistry between Lakshmi and Rishi Oberoi. Fondly referred to as #RishMi, their love story often gains focus on social media and the leading lady Aishwarya couldn’t be happier about the show’s success. On the occasion of the show completing two years earlier this week, Aishwarya Khare expressed her happiness in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama and also recalled some of the fondest memories associated with the show.
Talking about the first episode she shot for Bhagya Lakshmi, Aishwarya Khare told Bollywood Hungama, “When we shot the entire first episode, it felt like we were making a movie. It was something and that’s when I started knowing the character of Lakshmi, how is she going to be, how is she going to react, etc. So, building that character was one of my fondest memories associated with the show.” She further went on to list down her fondest memories as she continued, “Another one was the scene that I did - the mandir wala scene, which has become like one of the best scenes that I got to do in my life. I can never forget it. And the scene where I get to know about Rishi and Malishka (Maera Mishra) and everything was a dhokha (betrayal). These are I think the fondest memories.”
When asked about the grand success she witnessed in these two years, Aishwarya dedicated it to the hard work and unity of the entire team of the ZEE TV serial. “I think the bond that we all have, the mindset that we all come with on set is what I would say that is the success behind Bhagya Lakshmi. Everybody from cast and crew sabko yahan par kaam karne ke liye bahut mazaa aata hai (everyone has had so much fun while working on the show). Yeh ghar jaisa ho gaya hai (it’s become a home for us now). Jab kaam aap ka ghar jaisa environment ban jaata hai (when you find a homely environment in your workplace) and everybody is so close to each other, sab ko achha lagta hai, kaam pe aana set pe aana, (everybody loves to work here, loves to come to work here) so I think that is the reason behind the success.”
Further, elaborating on the success, Aishwarya aka Lakshmi also shared a heartfelt fan experience she came across quite some time back. “We met someone actually and the person had said that his grandfather or father, I don't remember, had Alzheimer’s. And he would often end up watching the same episode again and again because he keeps forgetting that he's already watched it. And he would do it so that he remembers what happened on the show. I think that was something that gave me goosebumps. I felt like wow, we've reached here. It is one of the sweetest comments we have received,” she added.
Recalling the time she was approached for the show, Aishwarya mentioned how she had entered the show with a lot of positivity in her mind. “I entered the show with a very positive mindset. It was such a big show and I met so many people from the show before it started, and they were all so excited. It was to another level. Even I was really excited about what this new journey is going to be for me, and I knew it was going to be life changing. But aisa kuch ho jayega maine socha bhi nahi tha (but something like this would happen I never thought), That, you know, everybody will know Lakshmi and Bhagya Lakshmi. I'm just so grateful for it.”
