Salman Khan will not host the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, with filmmaker Rohit Shetty set to take over hosting duties for the weekend. Salman confirmed his absence during the latest episode of the reality show, explaining that a prior work commitment would keep him from returning for the next instalment.
The announcement comes after the October 17 and 18 episodes of Weekend Ka Vaar, during which Salman addressed several developments inside the house, including questions surrounding Qazi Touqeer’s conduct and the fallout from Nakul Dhull’s eviction. The weekend also concluded with Aman Gandhi’s elimination from the competition.
Salman Khan confirms his absence from next Weekend Ka Vaar
Salman’s confirmation means viewers will see a change in the show’s usual hosting arrangement for the upcoming weekend. The actor has been the face of Bigg Boss for several seasons, with Weekend Ka Vaar serving as a key point in the week when contestants are questioned about their behaviour and their conflicts inside the house.
Rohit Shetty, known for hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi, will step in for the next Weekend Ka Vaar. His appearance will bring a different hosting style to the reality show as contestants continue to navigate the pressure of nominations, changing alliances and confrontations.
Salman cited a prior professional commitment as the reason for missing the episode. No further details about the commitment were provided in the information available.
Aman Gandhi eliminated during Weekend Ka Vaar
The October 17 and 18 episodes also saw Aman Gandhi leave the Bigg Boss 20 house. Aman was among the bottom three contestants alongside Uditi Singh and Mary Kom, before Salman announced his elimination.
This was Aman’s second consecutive week in the bottom three. He had also previously lost a lifeline during a week when no contestant was evicted.
Aman’s exit left his friend Arishfa emotional, with the contestant breaking down following the announcement. His elimination added another significant development to a week already marked by tensions and questions about loyalty among the housemates.
