Shraddha Kapoor has become one of the most bankable actresses in Bollywood through her career, which is over a decade long. Among the films that not only showed her acting talent but also earned accolades at the box office is Amar Kaushik’s Stree. Also starring Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee, the film was a horror-comedy that succeeded in tickling the audience’s funny bone in 2018. The dialogue from the film ‘O stree kal aana’ continues to be famous even as the film clocks five years today.

Sharing her thoughts on the 5^th anniversary of Stree, Shraddha said exclusively, “Super thrilled that Stree has completed 5 years to its release! The film will continue to hold an extremely special place in my heart. I fondly remember the moment I heard the script, I knew I wanted to be a part of this universe created by Amar and Dinesh (Vijan, producer). To create an entertaining film with relevant social messages is no simple feat at all and Dinesh, Amar, Raj & DK (producers) just nailed it. Super grateful for the immense love for it and the excitement the audiences have for Stree 2.”

Stree 2, the sequel to Stree, is currently in the making and it is expected to be wackier than the first film. This one will also feature Varun Dhawan in a cameo from his film Bhediya as both the films are from the same universe created by producer Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films.

Earlier this year, Shraddha also tasted success through her romantic drama Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which was directed by Luv Sinha and also starred Ranbir Kapoor.
