In a heartwarming display of sisterly affection, Bollywood actresses Kriti Sanon and Nupur Sanon have set the internet abuzz with their recently released YouTube vlog. The vlog, released on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, provides an intimate glimpse into the sisters' lives, offering viewers a delightful blend of candid moments and behind-the-scenes professionalism.
The vlog opened with a light-hearted anecdote shared by Kriti, recounting an amusing incident where her sister, Nupur, left for a shoot ahead of her. Kriti humorously recalled, “So, in the morning it was really funny because I was like, 'Oh yeah. Today we are shooting together. We are going to go in the car together. I'm gonna take some Instagram Stories saying look who I'm shooting with' and cut to, she has already left." Nupur explains her early departure, attributing it to the dedication that newcomers exhibit in the industry, saying, "When you are new, you are more professional. I left early and her spot dada was trying to stop me at home ki ‘aap itni jaldi jaa rahe ho. Kyu? Aap itni jaldi kyu ja rahe ho.' I said, ‘Mujhe time pe pahuchna hai (I have to reach on time).'”
The vlog also captured the endearing dynamic between the sisters, as Kriti admitted to occasionally adopting a maternal role towards Nupur. Kriti candidly confessed, “It irritates her and I know it. So, I have to tell myself to shut up. And, because I am more experienced, it comes to me naturally and I start giving her advice even when she doesn't want it.”
The vlog further showcased instances of Kriti's playful waiting for her sister on the sets, along with playful references to Nupur's occasional tantrums. Nupur also playfully characterizes their contrasting personalities, describing Kriti as “padauk”
(studious) and herself as more “street smart.”
Nupur's perspective on working with her sister after an extended period is equally endearing. She remarks, "It was super fun. Super chill. Bahot jaldi jaldi ho gaya sab kuch (everything happened so quickly). Kriti is very fun to work with, and easy to work with but she is a class monitor. And she keeps on toko-ing on every small small thing, but I am used to it by now." The vlog, aptly titled “Sisterhood, Shoots and Smiles,” aptly encapsulates the heartwarming bond between Kriti and Nupur Sanon, presenting a delightful combination of familial love, shared experiences, and professional camaraderie.
Meanwhile for Kriti, she was last seen in Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush. Produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, it was released worldwide on June 16, 2023. The actress will be next seen in Ganapath: Part 1 with Tiger Shroff, The Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, and an untitled next with Shahid Kapoor, which is set to release on December 7. There have also been reports about the yet-untitled film that will see Kriti as a robot and Shahid as a scientist, who falls in love with the former. Dharmendra is also part of the project. She also has venture with own production, titled, Do Patti.
