The producers / distributors versus multiplexes faceoff entered third week on Friday. The business is down in the dumps and with no major release in sight, at least for a few more weeks, the audiences will be starved of big screen entertainment. Meanwhile, there's talk in the industry that a solution should be in sight in the first week of May. Of course, right now, the two warring factions haven't reached a consensus yet.
Meanwhile, the Friday releases - DASHAVTAR and MERI PADOSAN - opened to poor houses. DASHAVTAR has opened without much fanfare and isn't expected to show a jump in business thanks to the poor reports.
