The new releases, EMI and EK VIVAAH... AISA BHI, faced tough competition from the new James Bond movie QUANTUM OF SOLACE. EMI had a dull start everywhere; the opening was in approx. 15% - 20% at several places. The reports are poor and the business is not likely to improve... EK VIVAAH... AISA BHI, released at select single screens at select centres, had a dull start as well, but the collections started growing before the day came to a close. Of course, it wasn't a big jump as such. The film has been appreciated tremendously by family audiences... QUANTUM OF SOLACE had the best start amongst all releases this Friday. The opening was approx. 45% - 50%, but the evening shows picked up everywhere.
