Saiyaara is a BLOCKBUSTER. In just one week, it has gathered the kind of numbers that so many biggies have struggled to accumulate in their entire lifetime. That’s what makes the film industry so special as there are surprises galore that spark up the box office. There are cheers and smiles all around when such kind of audience as well as industry loves comes in from all directions and that’s what has happened indeed for this Mohit Suri directed romantic musical.
The film continued to bring in excellent collections on a day on day basis, and to see that even Thursday saw as huge as Rs. 19.50 crores is a testimony to the fact that the momentum is on the film’s side. In fact, when compared to Friday collections of Rs. 22 crores, there is practically no drop in footfalls as weekday pricing is different. Today again the film will do really well and with no competition whatsoever, rest assured Rs. 20 crores mark will be crossed all over again.
After one week, the film now stands at Rs. 175.25 crores and by tomorrow afternoon itself the Rs. 200 Crore Club mark will be hit. There are so many more milestones all set to be hit as Rs. 300 crores isn’t too far away either. The pace at which the film is currently going, an entry into the Rs. 300 Crore Club too will happen by the close of their weekend. From that point on, it would be interesting to see if there is ample steam left in this Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda film to aim for that Rs. 400 crores milestone.
