The much talked about Akshay Kumar – Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Good Newwz released yesterday which also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. Directed by Raj Mehta, the film which is the last release of 2019, hit a total of 3100+ screens in the domestic market. If the wide release wasn’t enough, Good Newwz has been receiving positive audience feedback ever since the release of its trailer.

Despite the buzz surrounding the film, the business of Good Newwz does not surpass the collections of Akshay’s previous releases like Mission Mangal that collected Rs. 29.16 cr, Gold that collected Rs. 25.25 cr, Kesari that collected Rs. 21.06 cr, and Singh Is Blling that had collected Rs. 20.67 cr.
However, on the other hand, the business of Good Newwz has managed to record better collections than Akshay’s other releases like Housefull 4 that collected Rs.16.5 cr, Housefull 3 that collected Rs. 15.21 cr, Brothers that collected Rs. 15.2 cr, Rowyd Rathore that collected Rs. 15.10 cr, and Boss that had collected Rs. 14.5 cr.
Currently, Good Newwz continues to run strong in multiplexes, with trade predictions stating that the business of the film is more than likely to see a spurt in growth over the weekend. If that wasn’t enough, the run up to New Year and the on-going Christmas vacations are sure to boost business.
